CONSTANTINE MALAHIAS - WRITER/PRODUCER/ACTOR
Constantine Malahias is a Greek-American film, television, and stage actor. Constantine’s passion for performing from a
young age carried him to train professionally at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts.
There, Constantine established himself as a preeminent Shakespearean actor, earning high praise in particular for his
multi-role tour de force in an Off-Broadway production of ROMEO & JULIET. He then starred and executive produced the
independent feature film HAMLET IN THE GOLDEN VALE (available on AppleTV, Amazon), which was awarded Best
Feature at the Manhattan Film Festival. More recently he starred in the independent comedy feature TANKHOUSE directed
by Noam Tomaschoff. In recent years, Constantine and Christopher Merlino create and produce their own comedy through

Christopher Merlino is an Actor, Writer and whatever else he needs to be. As an (almost) graduate of FSU’s BFA Acting program and eventually Marymount Manhattan's Theatre History Program, Christopher enjoys all facets of creative entertainment. As
an actor, Christopher is a member of Endstation Theatre Company in Lynchburg, Virginia where he specialized in Shakespearean and new works for over 5 years. Christopher has recently portrayed “Diego” in a national Checker’s commercial and “Oscar” in Lifetime’s feature film The Family. The Legend of D.C. Colorado is Christopher’s Los Angeles debut as a writer, producer and lead in a production. Christopher spends his free time painting fantasy
landscapes on canvas and creating anything that brings people joy with his friends and creative partners, Constantine Malahias and Felix Birdie. In addition to thanking his friends for their constant encouragement and unyielding compliments he would like to express his love and adoration to his family who are everything to him. Felix is an NYC based actor happy to be back in LA for the premiere of DC Colorado! He was most recently heard voicing
the pipe smoking pipe, Pipey, in Open the Portal’s “Psycho Psalms.” Felix spent the early part of his career studying in NYC
at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and graduating from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Upon graduating, he spent
several years working professionally with theater company’s around the city, and many small independent filmmakers. One
of the films he was seen in, “Green,” went on to win the Short Film Grand Jury prize at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.

Alessandra Mesa is a Cuban-American screenwriter and actor. Her latest project Superior, in which she played the lead
and co-wrote with Erin Vassilopoulos, participated in the IFP Filmmakers Lab 2020 and had its world premiere in Dramatic
Competition at Sundance Film Festival 2021. Superior is based on a short of the same name that premiered at Sundance
and was screened at the Berlinale and other notable film festivals. She is currently writing a television series titled Havana on the Hudson, which was recently accepted into the (IFP) Gotham Television Series Lab 2021, as well as three feature films, Hi Baby, A Kinder Sea, and To The Bone. A Kinder Sea and Hi Baby have been recognized as semi-finalist and and quarter-finalist by several screenplay competitions.

Joey Swift is an actor who originally hails from Melbourne, FL. He has been seen on stages across the country, including Chicago’s Artistic Home and BETheater, as well as the historic Alhambra Theater, Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, Actor’s Playhouse, and Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Since moving to Los Angeles a year ago, Joey has worked with award winning artist YG, as well as starred in commercials for 7 Eleven, NBA 2k22, Sun Bum, and

Gwynn Ballard is an actor, writer, and comedian based in Los Angeles. She has created and appeared in content for Comedy Central, Lifetime, and Condé Nast. As a playwright, her work has been featured at Classic Stage, Manhattan Repertory Theater, and Playwrights Horizons Downtown, and she was a finalist in the Samuel French OOB competition. She holds a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch.

Lo Artiz is overjoyed to be returning to her theatre roots in The Legend of DC Colorado. Lo is a Miami-born independent music artist, multi-instrumentalist, producer, engineer, & arranger. Past roles include Gary Coleman (Avenue Q), Maria Rainer (The Sound of Music), Rapunzel/Cinderella’s Mom (Into the Woods). Berklee College of Music World Tour Scholarship recipient & graduate.

Jack de Sanz has been called a “demon straight from hell” by years of exasperated nannies and Catholic School nuns, so he is stoked to finally be playing one on stage. A Bay Area-born graduate of NYU Tisch, Jack is a comedian and voice actor who performs improv regularly in Los Angeles. He has studied at The Los Angeles Clown School, the Upright Citizens Brigade, the Groundlings Theatre, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Jack has his feature film debut next summer with the upcoming comedy STRAYS and can be heard in multiple cartoons, including THE RISE OF SUPER MOUTH and the stop-motion PSYCHO PSALMS. He is thrilled to be back at the Hollywood Fringe for his third year for this insane, pulled-pork fueled fever dream, and is so grateful to Deano, Chris, and Ale for the opportunity to to stain all his clothes red as a living Dio album cover. Ben Holst has been a career musician, producer, engineer and composer in the Atlanta area for over 20 years. He came up in Athens, co-founded Tunewelders – an award winning music and audio production company, and later re-opened the historic Southern Tracks Recording Studio in Atlanta. Recent accolades include: Composer on the animated Netflix series The Liberator; co-producer on Grammy-nominated India.Arie’s Songversation: Medicine; writer and performer on the theme song for season 9 of Mike Rowe’s Dirty Jobs; and Recording Academy Atlanta Chapter Board of Governors. Ben also currently serves as Director of Creative Media and Brand Development for live streaming powerhouse – Volume.com.

Miles is an multi-award winning actor, director, producer, technician who has been a fringe artist for almost 15 years between multiple festivals. He is extremely excited to be The Broadwater‘s Main Stage Stage Manager for this year‘s festival allowing him the opportunity to present many wonderful stories to LA’s hungry theatre community.
ABOUT THE LEGEND OF D.C. COLORADO
The Legend of D.C. Colorado is an irreverent fantasy/comedy western musical making its debut during this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival. The production will then stream online on the 24/7 artist-centric Volume.com during the month of July.
The Legend of D.C. Colorado follows the adventures of two brothers, Clive and Owen, as they traverse The Wild West on a legendary journey to avenge their mothers' death. Along the way, they meet demons, witches, angels, and other unexpected characters. The play's staged reading premiered Off-Broadway at Here Arts Center in New York City to an enthusiastic audience response in 2019. The musical is written and produced by a talented duo that also stars in the lead roles; Constantine Malahias (Clive) and Christopher Merlino (Owen). The childhood friends were living in NYC at the time and decided to develop the piece into an entire musical. One pandemic and a move to the West Coast later, the writing team is excited to debut this hilarious production. The Hollywood Fringe Festival is a perfect fit for the show with its free and unbridled creative environment.
