STAGE RAW REVIEW

What I liked

The creators clearly want you to enjoy this show. It is fun, after all, and yet their characters are such that they probably don’t give a damn what you think if you didn’t care for them. The audience can relax and have a great time with the silliness, the banter in the writing, all because the actors are so heavily committed. It is clear they take their work seriously, but they also know how to enjoy themselves doing it. I highly recommend this for a good laugh.

What I didn't like

There isn’t much at all that I would suggest they do differently. I believe the artists are self aware with the type of work they’re creating. Before you know it, the show is over but the impression has certainly been made.

My overall impression

This show is one hell of a good time. Completely original, including the music, these creatives go above and beyond to deliver a high energy and heartfelt adventure that is unlike any you’ve seen before. Once the lights come up, you are IN this world of D.C. Colorado, you can leave your own worries behind and simply have a good time.

NOHO ARTS DISTRICT REVIEW

What I liked

A NoHo Arts theatre review of ”The Legend of DC Colorado,” written and produced by Constantine Malahias and Christopher Merlino, and directed by Alessandra Mesa at this year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival.

There’s nothing like a truly excellent musical, full of larger-than-life characters, rousing songs and hilarious antics. “The Legend of DC Colorado” is truly exactly that, excellent in a weirdly wonderful kind of way, like “Rocky Horror” meets “Thunder Dome” meets “Legend” with a dash of “Buffy.”

PR WEB PRESS RELEASE

The Legend of D.C. Colorado to Debut at The Hollywood Fringe Festival

Hollywood, CA - The Legend of D.C. Colorado is an irreverent fantasy/comedy western musical debuting during this year's Hollywood Fringe Festival.   The production will then stream online on the 24/7 artist-centric Volume.com during July 2022.

NOHO ARTS DISTRICT Q&A

The musical is written and produced by a talented duo that also stars in the lead roles; Constantine Malahias (Clive) and Christopher Merlino (Owen). The childhood friends were living in NYC at the time and decided to develop the piece into an entire musical. One pandemic and a move to the West Coast later, the writing team is excited to debut this hilarious production.
